DURATION

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Internships in Argentina require an intermediate level of Spanish. For non-Spanish speakers the program is designed to provide students the opportunity to learn Spanish on the ground in Buenos Aires before beginning their internship.
For students with a basic to intermediate level of Spanish, during your first month your will do an Intensive Spanish course at a local language school. The second month will allow you to study Spanish part-time and intern part-time. From your third month you will then intern full-time. Spanish speakers may start their internship immediately.
For students with no Spanish at all, the program requires two months of full-time study prior to beginning the internship.
For Hospital, Law, or Journalism internships companies require an advanced level of Spanish. Unfortunately, students with no Spanish language experience prior to arrival in Buenos Aires will not be able to undertake these internships.
ESL teaching requires little to no Spanish skills and is a perfect placement option for complete beginners. Human Rights, Politics, Zoo, and International Business internships are also highly recommended for complete beginners.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn Spanish and gain some invaluable professional experience in one of Latin America's most vibrant cities!
VISAS
Australian citizens, who are going to Argentina for up to 90 days, do not require a visa when they travel for tourism, business or investment purposes. However, as of 1st March 2009 Australian citizens will need to pay an entry fee upon arrival in Argentina which is equivalent to the amount Argentine citizens have to pay when applying for an Australian visa (roughly USD100). Australian citizens, born in Argentina, can travel with Australian passports, but they may stay only up to 60 days.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation is included in the program fee and is available in a student residence or in a family home stay. The costing reflects the student residence option. For dates, costs and more information please ask us for a UniBreak Information Brief that outlines the options available.
Student accommodation is clean and comfortable and gives you the opportunity to live with other interns and international students.
