ABOUT LANGUAGE IMMERSION

Are you a school student studying French or German? Do you want to improve your language by living just like a typical teenager in Europe? Then you are a great candidate for our Language Immersion program.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Participate on a 5, 7 or 12-week home-stay in France or Germany, sharpening your language skills and soaking up the European culture. You will travel over the Christmas period with a group of Australian students from Years 9-11, experiencing life as a French or German teenager!

Chaperones from Australia who are fluent in French or German will accompany and look after you for the duration of your stay. They are there should you have questions or concerns and will lead weekend excursions.

We take time to personalise the Language Immersion program for you. You'll feel the security of a group of students staying in the one city, while being immersed with a local family where you'll be able to develop your language skills.

HOST FAMILY
Your will be matched with a host-brother or sister the same age as you, and this is the person you will attend high school with. This is a fantastic opportunity to practice your French or German language, and entertain the local with stories from Australia!

Lucky students may even take a holiday in the snow with their host family over the Christmas break, visit Paris or Lyon, the Alps or the Côte d'Azur. Or perhaps you'll go to Geneva, Berlin, Heidelberg or Munich!

HOW DO I APPLY?
Each year we hold a Launch Night for both the French and the German programs in Sydney. Here you will have the chance to meet with past students and parents and hear their insights about each program. Check the Info Night page on the website for details or call the office on (02) 9413 1522. If you live outside of Sydney, we'd be happy to chat with you to discuss the program and any questions you may have.
