Sometimes the best lessons take place outside the classroom
Are you a student of French or German? Do you want to improve your language by living just like a typical teenager in Europe?
Join us on a 5, 7 or 12-week homestay in France or Germany over Christmas where you'll travel with a group of Australian students from Years 9-11.
You'll be placed in a family with a teenager of your own age and have the opportunity to experience life as a French or German teenager. You'll also be able to attend the local highschool where you'll meet lots of local students eager to learn all about Australia. Take a holiday in the snow with your host-family over the Christmas break. Visit Paris or Lyon, the Alps or the Côte d'Azur, Geneva, Berlin, Heidelburg or Munich.
We'll send chaperones from Australia who are fluent in French and German to look after you and the rest of the group. You'll be amazed by how much your language skills will improve in the time you're away. All you have to do is throw yourself into your European experience and enjoy!
Each year we hold one Launch Night at the beginning of May in Sydney for both programs where you will have the chance to meet with past students and parents and hear their opinions about the program - check the Info Night page on the website for details or call the program manager, Maureen in the office on (02) 9413 1522. If you live interstate, we're happy to meet with you to discuss the program and any questions you may have.
We take time to personalise the Language Immersion program for you. You'll feel the security of a group of students staying in the one city, while being immersed with a local family where you'll be able to develop your language skills.
