France

There is something about France - its language, its style, its people. Imagine living in Lyon, Bordeaux or Arles during the Christmas holidays, immersing yourself in the language, sharing the richness of day-to-day life in a French family and attending a French school meeting lots of teenagers your own age.

This is your opportunity to experience one of the world's great cultures with our professionally organised French homestays. We place students in numerous cities including Rennes, Nantes and Le Mans (Semester program), Vannes, Bordeaux, Beaucaire and Arles (7-week program) and Lyon (5-week program) where, in addition to attending school, you will holiday with your family over Christmas. You may visit the Côte d’Azur, the Pyrenees or ski in the Alps. You will make friends that will last a lifetime and dramatically improve your French.

You will be part of a group of students in Years 9-11 from all over Australia supervised throughout the stay by your own Australian chaperone. You will have met all the other students at our Preparation Day just prior to departure. Choose from a 5, 7 or 12-week home stay.

Visit Geneva, enjoy the beauty of Lyon, St. Malo and Arcachon and its fabulous food markets, stroll along the Champs-Elysées, visit the Louvre, climb the Eiffel Tower or take a scenic boat ride on the Seine.

Join us in France over Christmas to savour the delights of this rich culture while you develop your language skills.

There are no words to describe my experience except for FABULOUS! Every bit was memorable; playing card games with the adults, eating cheese every night, straightening my host sisters hair and vice versa, helping the brothers with their English homework, trying snails, going to Paris with my host mum and sister and…I think I could go on forever!
