Building, Conservation, Teaching

In Tanzania you will work as part of a volunteer team on a community project building and improving facilities at local village schools along with other conservation projects. The project work can be varied and includes construction work on the local school, teaching, conservation, agricultural work, drainage and water systems, building of sports facilities and improving teaching materials.

Local tradesmen and wildlife professionals are employed in order to facilitate the projects. You will work alongside these professionals gaining new skills and contributing greatly to the overall standard of living of the local community.

You will also be able to balance this with excursions to a Masai village and a 5 day big game safari in one of Tanzania's famous national parks.

ACCOMMODATION
Student volunteers from the UK and Australia live in safari-style purpose built camp located in the Moshi area of Northern Tanzania, at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Special attention has been made for the environmental and climate considerations of the accommodation and the tents are light, airy, cool and fully netted to reduce mosquito/insect risk.

ABOUT TANZANIA
