The placements in Nepal are located on the outskirts of Kathmandu valley, in Pokhara, Kavre and Lalitpur, just a few hours drive from Kathmandu. Situated in the foothills of the Annapurnas the area has spectacular scenery.
Volunteers will be placed in local schools teaching English to students from grades 1-10. Since many of the government schools are short-handed with teachers, volunteers may also have the opportunity to help teaching subjects such as mathematics, environment, science or computers.

ABOUT NEPAL
Famous for Mount Everest, Nepal is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Swift running rivers flow from the Himalayas in the north, while flat green plains decorate the south of Nepal. The history of the country is closely related to its geographical location, separating the fertile plains of India from the desert like plateau of Tibet. Nepal has the lowest number of roads per person and square metre of land in the world. Much of Nepal is only accessible by foot. There is no electricity outside of large towns.
