Learn French - Teach English
Students based in France are required for tutoring English to children and adults in French host families. Classes are conducted in an informal way, from conversational and written English to games for the younger children, depending on the requirement of the families.
You will be required to teach approximately 15 hours per week, the time of day again determined by the host family. Placements are available all over France, from north to south. No previous experience of French is required although it is preferable.
A one or 2-week intensive French course in Paris is optional depending on the individual. This course includes 19 hours of French classes per week, 3 hours in the morning and 2 working sessions in the afternoon of 2 hours, one cultural activity on Wednesday afternoon, such as Le Louvre, Musee d’Orsay or Bateaux Mouches. The price of the course also includes accommodation, breakfast and dinner.
ACCOMMODATION
Students will be living with a French family so accommodation will vary according to each home. You will have your own room and the homes will be clean and comfortable. The purpose of the program is not just to tutor English but also a cultural immersion, spending time with a French family, getting to know their way of life and exploring the local area.
