Open Charity Challenge

Open Charity Challenge is the ideal way for small charities to benefit from the fundraising success of overseas challenges and for individual supporters to get involved and raise money for their charity. Open Charity Challenge is a no-risk opportunity for charities to benefit from an Antipodeans Abroad managed, overseas challenge without needing to fill a minimum number of places.

View our Destinations and Challenges page to see upcoming challenges and how to get involved.

How does it work?
Antipodeans Abroad operates a variety of overseas charity challenges with set departure dates every year. Whether you are a charity keen to promote to your supporters or an individual wanting to jump on board and raise funds for your chosen charity, Antipodeans Abroad can offer you the ideal trip. Simply choose your destination, challenge and departure date and get started. Antipodeans Abroad can assist you in choosing a charity to support if you don't have a particular one in mind.

Antipodeans Abroad can put you in contact with the charity to agree on their preferred fundraising target and level of involvement. Once the minimum number of participants required is reached we will hold a first team meeting to introduce the group to each other and provide encouragement and advice with regards fundraising tips, equipment, diet and health issues.

A dedicated Antipodeans Abroad staff member will be assigned to the Open Charity Challenge and will be on hand to answer all your questions whilst working behind the scenes to ensure the operations are managed with the utmost attention in the destination.

Why should you be involved?
  • No matter how small the charity is supporters can get involved. There is no minimum number of supporters needed per charity to be involved.

  • Overseas charity challenges are attractive to sponsors being much more appealing than domestic or standard fundraising events.

  • There is no financial commitment and so no risk on the charity's behalf.

  • Antipodeans Abroad manages all the administration and trip logistics leaving the charity free to concentrate on supporting and encouraging the participant in whichever way they see fit. We provide all necessary trip information and support with regards insurance, visas and vaccinations.

  • All we ask is that the charity promote the challenges in the simplest fashion and we will do the rest.

We thought the whole Antipodeans Abroad adventure was very professional-friends had reported very favorably on previous challenges. I would say Antipodeans Abroad has a very good reputation.
