My Antips Experience

Are you wondering what it’s really like to take part in an Antipodeans Abroad experience overseas? What will the food be like, the accommodation, and day-to-day life of a volunteer? Well you’re in the right place.

All the ‘My Antips Experiences’ found here are honest and heartfelt accounts of various students time overseas. It’s here you can gather the information you need before embarking on your own adventure!

Have you got a great story to tell?

We are giving all our past student travellers the chance to share their overseas experience with the wider Antips community and future volunteers.

We want to hear your stories! What did you learn on your placement and who did you meet? What challenges did you face along the way? If you're keen to share your experience with us, please send us your story in either written format (include photos!), or video format. Your story will feature on the Antipodeans Abroad website, blog and Facebook page - helping to inspire future travellers to take up the overseas challenge!

Entries open Tuesday 1st May 2012, and close Friday 1st June 2012.

Written format
Your story should be a minimum of 300 words, including a short introduction saying who you are and why you decided to travel with Antipodeans Abroad to your destination.

Remember to emphasize your project work, as well as the overall experience of being overseas. We’d love to hear any entertaining or memorable moments from your placement that give the reader a real sense of the culture and people. Please submit your story, with a few relevant photos to ebony@antipodeans.com.au

Video format
We’ve noticed that many of our past volunteers have put together fantastic short videos of their time abroad – a wonderful way to really capture the essence of their placement. If you would like to submit a ‘My Antips Experience’ video, please upload your video to the Antipodeans Abroad Facebook page, and mention “My Antips Experience’ in the post. Alternatively, you can send us a disk of your video to PO BOX 540, Chatswood 2067 NSW.
